Disposable cameras or a QR code gallery?

Disposable cameras give guests something fun to hold and a film look, but each takes a set number of shots and you only see them once the films are developed. A QR code gallery uses the phones guests already carry, so their photos and videos arrive on the day, for everyone to see.

When each is the better choice

Disposable cameras

  • You love the film look, and the surprise of waiting to see them.
  • You'd like guests to put their phones away.
  • You want something on the tables for guests to play with.

Our gallery

  • You want every guest's photos and videos, on the day, without collecting cameras afterwards.
  • You want the guests to see them too, and save their favourites.
  • You'd rather not wait, or pay, for developing.

The short version

Disposable cameras are a lovely bit of fun, and some couples keep them for exactly that. As a way to collect every guest’s photos, they need collecting, developing and scanning, and they hold a fixed number of shots. A gallery on the guests’ own phones has none of those limits, and the photos are there the next morning.

Questions

Can we have both?
Yes. Some couples put a disposable camera on each table for fun and a QR code beside it for everything else.
Are phone photos as good as film?
They're different. Phone photos are sharper and work in low light; film has a look many people love.
